AMS PATHWAY SCHOOL
Recently, MMS embarked on a process of self-study and reflection, in partnership with the American Montessori Society (AMS) to demonstrate this commitment. MMS is proud to announce that we are an AMS Pathway School and will display the official AMS School Quality seal.

SCIENCE FAIR JUDGES NEEDED
We are in need of volunteers for our MMS Middle School Science Fair on Tuesday, December 10th from 9 am - 1 pm. Our seventh and eighth grade students are working hard creating projects that utilize the scientific method and further their understanding of scientific inquiry, research, reporting.

ELLIE THE ELEPHANT'S VISIT TO MMS
Ellie, the world's first robotic educational elephant, visited Millhopper Montessori School to present her message about the importance of exercising empathy and treating everyone with compassion to our kindergarten through fourth grade students.

KIDS SEWING FOR KIDS
As part of her "Kids Sewing for Kids" campaign, Ms. Susie Long and her sewing students have been busy creating cuddle drop puppy pillows.

SPIRIT WEEK AND CANNED FOOD DRIVE
Millhopper Montessori School students and staff celebrated school spirit with our annual Spirit Week and Golden Can Award as we raised food and money for the Bread of the Mighty Food Bank.

SAFETY PATROL WASHINGTON, D.C. TRIP 2019
Our Safety Patrols had a great time experiencing our nation’s capital on the 42nd annual Washington, D.C. Safety Patrol trip with Alachua County Schools Resource Deputies and Alachua County Public Schools!

FESTIVAL OF DIONYSUS
Middle school students, under the direction of Ms. Sylvia Aslanian and Ms. Susan Hansen, performed a Festival of Dionysus, which told stories of ancient Greeks, Norse, and Egyptians!

MIDDLE SCHOOL ENGINEERING PRESENTATION
7th and 8th grade students shared their engineering designs of paper and cardboard roller coasters with the 4th and 5th graders.
